INAUGURAL

INDEPENDENT CATHOLIC SCHOOL SUMMIT

MANY SCHOOLS. ONE MISSION.

Saturday November 28, 2026 · 9 AM to 5 PM

Hawthorn School
101 Scarsdale Rd, North York, ON M3B 2R2

Independent Catholic schools across Ontario are doing extraordinary work — forming young people in truth, goodness and beauty and supporting families who desire an authentically Catholic education for their children.

But too often, we're doing that work alone.

On November 28, Catholic school leaders and educators from across Ontario will gather for a day of formation, fellowship and collaboration — sharing wisdom, resources and practical strategies to strengthen our schools and advance our shared mission.

You shouldn't have to build your Catholic school alone. Let's build together.

OUR SCHOOLS ARE INDEPENDENT. OUR MISSION IS SHARED.

How do we attract and retain excellent teachers?

How do we strengthen enrollment and build financially sustainable schools?

How do we form students intellectually and spiritually while remaining faithful to the Church?

How do we develop strong boards, leaders and school communities?

How do we navigate the practical challenges of independence?

Too often, each school is trying to answer these questions on its own.

What if we didn't have to?

WHAT IF OUR GREATEST RESOURCE IS EACH OTHER?

Enrollment

One school may have strategies that could help another.

Governance

One school may have experience worth sharing.

Curriculum

One school may have resources that could serve others.

Sustainability

One school may have insights that could make a difference.

The Independent Catholic School Summit is designed to begin those conversations; creating stronger relationships between schools and laying the foundation for
greater collaboration, shared resources and mutual support in the years ahead.
